Lightwater Valley Adventure Park

A fantastic family day out with rides and attractions suited to younger children, Lightwater Valley includes a dinosaur-themed trail, woodland play areas, and family-friendly rollercoasters. The park also hosts regular events, shows, and character meet-and-greets during school holidays, making it perfect for a full day of adventure.

Mother Shipton’s Cave

Beningbrough Hall & Gardens (National Trust)

This beautiful 18th-century mansion is set in parkland beside the River Ouse. Kids can enjoy the interactive galleries, nature trails and excellent woodland playground, while parents will appreciate the peaceful gardens, exhibitions, and lovely café. A short hop from Aldwark Bridge Glamping, it's ideal for a half-day trip.
Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal Water Garden

A stunning mix of medieval ruins and elegant Georgian landscaping, this National Trust site has something for everyone. Children can climb through the abbey ruins, look for deer, and splash through streams, while the large grounds and accessible paths make it great for buggies, picnics, and relaxed exploration.






Ripley Castle

This historic family-owned castle offers guided tours filled with tales of intrigue and adventure. Harewood House & Bird Garden

The Yorkshire Wildlife Park

This award-winning park is home to over 70 species, including polar bears, lions, giraffes, and meerkats. Spread over 150 acres, the zoo combines education, conservation and fun, with play zones, cafés, picnic areas, and plenty of hands-on learning for curious young explorers.






Lotherton Hall & Wildlife Park

This charming Edwardian estate offers a great mix of indoor and outdoor attractions for families. The Wildlife Park features over 100 animals including flamingos, monkeys, and farmyard favourites. There are gardens to explore, a woodland play area, adventure playgrounds, and seasonal family trails. It’s a fantastic all-round day out.

Enjoy the magic of paddleboarding right here! Yorkie Talkies Outdoors run relaxed and friendly paddleboarding sessions directly from the riverbank at Aldwark Bridge Glamping. Led by experienced and encouraging instructors Emma and Lewis, these sessions are suitable for complete beginners as well as more confident paddlers. It’s a brilliant way to explore the River Ure, spot local wildlife, and soak in the beauty of the countryside from the water. Family sessions, sunset paddles, and group bookings are all available.

No need to drive – the River Ure runs alongside Aldwark Bridge Glamping, offering direct access for paddleboarding, kayaking, or riverside strolls. We’re happy to offer tips on local spots for launching boats or casting a fishing line. Perfect for peaceful days or gentle water adventures.

Golf at Aldwark Manor Estate

Tee off just across the bridge at the stunning Aldwark Manor Estate. Recently redeveloped, the 18-hole championship golf course offers a scenic yet challenging layout for all levels of player. With views over the River Ure and surrounding countryside, it’s a peaceful and picturesque place to enjoy a round. Clubhouse facilities include a pro shop and bar, and club hire is available if you’re travelling light. Ideal for a relaxed morning or afternoon during your stay.
Yolk Farm & Minskip Farm Shop

A modern farm experience with animals to feed, a play paddock, and a rustic café serving up fantastic brunch dishes and Yorkshire puddings. The farm shop is filled with local produce and makes for a tasty and entertaining stop, especially on your way to or from the glamping site.
Birchfield Ice Cream Farm
