At the heart of Aldwark Bridge Glamping is our pièce de résistance – the fire pit, a place where laughter and conversations flow, music drifts into the night, and friendships spark as easily as the flames. Built from the weathered timbers of the old bridge and nestled beside the charming, historic toll bridge itself, this unique spot blends heritage with warmth. The grand stone seating curves generously around the fire, comfortably welcoming 25–30 people, making it perfect for big family gatherings, groups of friends, or even a whole site of guests coming together. The perfect setting to share stories, food, and toasted marshmallows. As the embers glow, guests can snuggle into our soft, cosy cushions and wrap themselves in thick, warm blankets – the perfect setting to sip, chat, and lose track of time under the stars.
Whether you're returning from a paddleboarding adventure on the River Ure, enjoying a family getaway, or simply unwinding after a day exploring York and Harrogate, the fire pit offers the perfect place to slow down and reconnect. Guests are welcome to enjoy music, hot chocolate, toasted treats, and meaningful conversations long into the evening.
Throughout the season, the fire pit also plays host to special events, including our popular Paddle and Pizza evenings, where guests can enjoy paddleboarding sessions followed by delicious food and a relaxed evening around the fire.
